First of the series in which I'd post interesting topics to read as per your request. Feel free to shoot me up a message and I will try to post stuff I have, along with my take on it.
Excellent article series in the Times of the corrosive effect of PE/VC making in-roads into essential public services. Now its at most debatable if PPP has actually helped the bottomline of the middle class or hurt them but certainly makes one feel if President Trump is to be thanked for the work that he is not doing. Had it been any other fiscal conservative such as Pence or Graham ruling the roost, it appears that Government as an institution we know today would face slow and a silent death. Privatization ain't a panacea for all problems but it does help a lot in certain areas under prudent regulation and oversight.
At a time when public trust in American institutions is at an all time low, its safe to supposition that not much of change can be expected from this administration till the next election.
